The production decision

Structure, yarn, and finishing work as a system.

A knitted fabric is shaped by yarn composition and count, machine gauge, stitch structure, loop length, width, GSM, and finishing. Changing one variable can affect drape, stretch, recovery, opacity, stability, and cutting behavior.

We define the target around the end product, develop a trial, then review the fabric after relevant finishing. The approved textile becomes the reference for bulk knitting and garment sampling.

The textile is not approved in isolation; it must still cut, sew, wash, and wear as the product requires.

    Confirm garment type, season, target hand feel, opacity, stretch, performance, color, volume, and price context.

    Set the construction

    Choose composition, yarn direction, knit structure, machine gauge, width, and target GSM.

    Knit a trial

    Set up the machine and produce development yardage for finishing and physical review.

  4. 04

    Finish & evaluate

    Apply the proposed dyeing and finishing route, then check weight, width, hand feel, stability, and appearance.

  5. 05

    Make the garment sample

    Cut and sew the textile to confirm drape, recovery, seam response, opacity, and real product suitability.

  6. 06

    Approve & produce

    Freeze the fabric reference and key tolerances, then knit, finish, inspect, and roll the bulk lot.
